You would know from the first look that you are in Belgium. The old towns of Ghent, Brugge or Andwerp are full of red-bricked buildings of 200, 300 or 400 years of age. Not much decorated but quite often equipped with tiny charming chapels sticked to the walls and hiding a sculpture of a Saint. Through little windows you can see shadowy interiors rooming a romantic restaurant or a shop with antiques.

Thanks a lot. I come from an old German town – Gliwice (Gleiwitz). Germans created masterpieces out of bricks and I’m fascinated by their architecture. And Belgians and Dutch share the same cultural and traditional roots.
