Every year in Poland little girls (and boys) go to their First Communion. On that special day they change into cute princesses in white gowns.
After long months of preperations they finally enter the church and receive their first wafer (the symbol of Jesus body). They are blessed by their parents who place hands over their heads and – in some regions – get a special roll of bread with a cross on it.
The celebrations end at home (or restaurant) with a dinner and a lot of sweets 🙂
