Where are those days gone when life was harder but simpler? And the world seemed to hide so many wonders …
Music from the gramophone, overseas journeys, taste of foreign food and drinks – all were so new and exciting. Can we still cherrish our lives so deeply, so purely … ?

Many of us tend to think so about the times that are gone. In reality – if you can enjoy your life fully – the times you lived in do not matter 🙂

In fact, yes… One way or the other we have to live the best we can…

Yes I agree we have to live life the best we can, sadly there are still people in this world today that are not afforded that pleasure. Please let me know if this translation is good or rubbish.
Great photos, I can remember my parents using a gramophone very much like the one in your photo, nostalgic indeed, as is the travelling trunk. I actually fell asleep on a trans European Express from Monchengladbach, to Warsaw. It was back in the 60’s when Germany was still East and West. Got woken up by the West German Border guards, thankfully, as I dread to think what would of happened had I crossed over for I was a member of the British Armed Forces at the time. Don’t think I need to say more on that. It did however cost me a small fortune, I had to pay for the extra distance I travelled, and for the journey back to where I needed to be. Never fell asleep ever again!
