Black are the wooden logs and white – the plasters coverning the infills.

Do you remember my post about red-brick buildings of Silesia? Here goes another German influence in architecture of our region. This style is called “sztachulcowy” (half-timbered). It’s used for different types of buildings: houses, barns and even churches.

The first photo is a barn in town Leśnica.

The second (below) shows a Protestant church in Świdnica (a unique wooden architecture).
