Slovenians seem to be as religious as the Poles. At least in the countryside.
There is one slim church in Gorenje. It dates back to 1391 and bears the name of St. Cunigunde. Each morning the bells were ringing for the prayer but I don’t know if the people were really going to the church.
In this tiny village I counted 5 chapels. Not single crosses (very popular in Poland) but solid plastered buildings with altars, sculptures and paintings on the walls. Well preserved inside and outside. Someone takes good care of them all.
