Do these arches not resemble Moors’ architecture? A breath from Cordoba?
Palace of Marianna Orańska was designed and built by German architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel. So these is no connection with the Arabian style.
Yet I walk under these colorful arches and can’t escape the comparisions. I pass the decorated white well and look down to it. It’s dry. The other fountain in completely destroyed.
There is so much here to be rebuilt and renewed. But the magnitude of the whole complex is overhelming.
