Marianna Orańska built this red-brick temple together with the palace. To have a place of worship.
Protestant churches are usually quite empty. So is this temple. But here the reason is different: it does not surve as church anymore. It houses cultural events, concerts and lectures.
I enter the building, rise my head and get speachless. The ceiling is incredibly beautiful. Rectangular red bricks contrast with white walls. The arches are so perfectly regular.
I feel pain in my neck but can’t stop looking up and … photographing.

Lovely. Were the vaults plastered and painted at one time? It is unusual to see the brickwork.

The brick works were done a long time ago. The paintings are recent – the renovations were made to prepare the church for concerts and exhibitions.

Yes, I stood there for half an hour with my head high up and couldn’t stop admiring.
