The splendor is still there – but only from outside.

Built in XIII century Ujazd castle was owned by Bishops of Wrocław. In XVI century it was modified into renesance defensive palace.


I walk through a gate, under the coat of arms into a vast yard. The well is completely rebuilt. Pieces of stones show the location of no-more existing buildings.

The castle is empty inside. Its outer walls were reinforced but the dark pillars look like gigant bones without flesh.


I go out and look at the castle from outside. From that view I can still imagine how beautiful it has been once …
