This beautiful large cloister was built in 1624 to host Camaldolese society.
It still makes a great impression. We first see a long low building and enter through its gate to the vast yard. Two other wings surround it from left and right. In the middle the church is situated.
Behind the yard hermit houses were located. But you can’t find them there any more. The convent was cancelled already in 1820 by Russians (who ruled Poland on that times).
Through the right gate we walk into a large garden intersected by paths. We rest by a pond and watch people prepering a festive event.
It’s a very restful place, as it was turned into a rehabilitation centre for those who seek solitude.

You can feel the quietness and solitude on your photographs 🙂

This building could be in Slovenia as well. I’m reminded of it. I love the paintings too.

Slovenia has also a nice set of monks’ properties. I myself visited a few 🙂
