Under the main square a net of former cellars can be visited.
I didn’t have a chance to see the trail (it has around 400 meters). I only walked over it accross a very long rectangular main market (head photo).
It was almost empty. I felt a bit strange as if in the dead city. Though the sun was still shining …
Opatów is an old city (dates from X / XI century) and till 1864 was owned by several noble families. The former splendor is visible in monuments but many streets and buildings ask for a bit of mercy 😉
The most important attraction is St. Martin’s church (which I’ll describe in my next post).
