We – bloggers – have shot so far millions of photos with sunrises and sunsets.
Many of them are exceptional and incredible, like these two: Travels and Trifles and Gottatakemorepix.
I just wanted to share with you one thought about these types of views. Very often it requires only a little hill, a small bulge of ground to make the scene more eye-catching.
My photo was taken in the middle of nowhere, in a tiny village called Janczowa. I don’t even know the name of the hill. But I guess, most of you would agree that without it, this sunset would look rather dull.

Agree with you that a certain object can make a photo more eye catching – it gives context to the scene that you are shooting. With this one you took, that hill speaks of climbing up a hard slope but once you reach the top, the view is good…there is a kind of reward. And watching a sunset like this is a reward in itself 🙂

Thanks so much for your comment. For us – photographers – each sunset seems to be special. But with hundreds of them it gets boring. Then we shall look for other elements to make them more interesting.
