He was my first Polish non-fiction writer whom I discovered and have admired till today.
Ryszard Kapuściński = Richard the Cabbage 😉 He lived and travelled all around the globe when Poland was under “communistic shoe”. He brought us a scent of great world usually unaccesable for a common Pole. He was my master of short and to-the-point messages.
He was quite prolific. The books from the main photo are all of him. And I read them all (some even several times).

I found in internet the following books of Kapuściński in Swedish: Imperiet, Fotbollskriget and Ebenholts, all translated by Anders Bodegård. Reading them you would travel to Asia (Russia), South America and Africa 😀

It is lovely to hear about a Polish writer – and I’ve never heard of a Polish writer before. ‘Richard the Cabbage’ sounds like an unusual nickname 🙂 That is quite a collection of his books and sounds like you find them very interesting 🙂

I made a small joke with this cabbage 😉 Actually “cabbage” in Polish is “kapusta”. I wanted to make this writer more familiar to you. I found on internet that there are 3 books of him translated into Chinese. Maybe you can read them if you like travel books.
