I guess, many of you know well this type of old architecture.
The external stairs and platforms, usually made out of wood, were often used in medieval castles. Their main purpose was to allow communication between different parts of buildings without a necessity to walk on the ground.
I find these stairs in the castle of Korzkiew really charming with the background of white and grey stones.
