These two men with wooden buckets do not seem happy or restful.

I don’t know much about them except that they are Jews and hard working people. I guess, they must have repeated this tiring activity for months and years.

I spotted them on the painting leaning against the wall on the street of Chmielnik (sourh-east Poland). Next to it an old synagogue was standing. This town used to be inhebited by many Jews before II World War.
