This water park is really extraordinary. Big part of the pools is hidden under the dome of glass.
It looks like astrological observatory, especially that the upper part of dome moves around. During the day it’s half open letting the warm air in. When the sun sets and it cools down the roof is being shut. It operates so quietly that we didn’t even notice when it happened.
There are several different pools inside the dome and outside, in various temperatures. 3 jakuzzi round pools are situated over the big one at the bottom. Another round pool hangs over the river bank.
Children can enjoy a few waterslides, some twisted as snail’s shell. There is also a set of pools with hot and cold (very!) water that you can walk throught (for better blood circulation, I guess).
Here you can’t really get bored!
In my next post I will write about the beer produced locally in Laško.

Hihihi, I love your Slovenian terme posts so much! You see, I was playing card tournaments in the hotel part of the Laško spa building every year, often the last tournament of the year, the Masters with only top 60 players, was played there. And yet I have never visited the spa, or even the pool. I know many people go there for rehabilitation. And now it’s the first time I hear of the moving roof. The only thing I saw, in the winter, was the steam coming up from outdoor part of the pool, with nobody in it. As for Laško beer – let’s just say that our family is (must be!) traditionally in favour of the other Slovenian beer since my uncle was working for it all his life. And the name is UNION. 😉

Oczywiście! Wszystkie te parki wodne działają na nią jak magnez. Ale rekord pobiła w Zrece – raz siedziała od 9 rano do 5 po południu 😉

If your children like water then this is a paradise for them. If additionally they can stand a bit of sight-seeing then there are a few nice spots nearby (like cloister in Zice – https://awawdrodze.wordpress.com/2016/08/29/cloister-in-zice-klasztor-w-zice/ or others I will be writing about in the coming days).
