The second church in Klimontów was based on the shape of basilica in Venice.

Kolagiata of St. Joseph was founded by Jerzy Ossoliński, brother of Krzysztof (Krzyżtopór) and son of Jan (Dominican cloister).

Its elipse main body resembles the structure of an Italian church. It was designed by an Italian architect and decorated by an Italian sculpturer. I guess, Ossolińcy family was under an influence from the south.

The interior is quite surprising. Round walls grow up to the dome over the head. Light comes only through the small windows above.

The colour of the main altar strikes my eyes. It’s covered with deep sea blue stones which I try to shoot (but with not much success).

I leave the church passing under a statue that doesn’t even notice my presence …
